Error 1001 no matter where I am!

Maybe I want a refund?

So I purchased the game today at my house. I download stardock Central, but upon trying to connect, I get error 1001. So I shut off my firewall, I reset my router, I plug directly into the cable modem, I do everything except take my computer directly to internet HQ and plug into the mainframe. Still the same error. I move to a friend's house. Same thing. Now I'm at a total loss. There is no login.txt file to even send to support, so what the heck gives?
