Commanding Multiple Factories

so... Let's say I have 5 or six factories scattered about various planets in the solar system.

What's the best way to command them? The search function or ctrl+F selects them ALL. Nice. But if I start cuing things up it only cues them to one factory. Painful.

I heard something somewhere that if there were multiple factories the game would spread the cue out among them. Am I wrong? Does this just apply to multiple factories in one grav well?

Whats the best way to get factories on several different planets producing ships and sending them into the fray... ya know... streamlining my war machine?

I'm pretty sure that only applies to factories in the same gravity well.

I'd suggest selecting all planets, going to the frigate (or cap ship, but you're probably not mass producing them) tab, putting in the production order for the sub-selected planet (it will spread across the factories in that grav well), tab to the next planet, put in the order for that one, tab, etc... Remember you can hold shift to increase the quantity of a given order.

If that doesn't do it (and remember to use hotkeys for speed), then I think you'd need a change made to the UI code itself for how it handles orders when factories in multiple grav wells are selected.

You can only control construction queues on a per-grav well basis.

oh... but you can Tab through planets...
nice. :)
