After the success on the Troll Thumping Day Suite some members of the Mother Thumpers are coming together to create the "Happy Birthday Suit(e)".

I envision this suite centered around a DX gadget that counts down to your birthday. On your birthday the gadget will prompt you to download the most recent incarnation of the suite components so for your special day, your desktop will celebrate with you.

At this point we have some components assigned to artists but this is a collaborative project and welcome input and assistance from everyone. Please jump in and help out if you'd like.

I don't like the confetti but I like the hats.  They match the style of the cake well

The balloons really don't match the art style.

As always, it's not my suite and I'm open to other opinions.

Waht I meant to say is while it was my idea to create a suite, it is for the community, by the community.
If JoeUser member 3 million and whatever who just signed up today has input it's as valuable as any others.

Do NOT use the screenshot backgrounds! It is NOT my wall, but done by someone on DA!

Pugboy, let us know what graphics program your using so we can be more constructive and helpful. Your idea is good, it's the execution that needs some fine tuning. ;)

GIMP. Sorry, lots of Homework ;)

The confetti was kind of a quick thing, and is easily replaceable. I have everything in layers.

The confetti works. Maybe variations on the sizes to give it more depth.

Can you use the balloons I made? Not sure if GIMP can use PSD files. If not, I would be happy to put them in PNG format for you.

Make a background. I would go with the 'colors' in the screenshot...I think they work well...but you can do what you want with the texture. Experiment. Go crazy.

Hey! The sound package isnt done yet. It really dont take allot of time to make one so i havnt been working on it this whole time. I have the sounds all together. I just need a few more and then Alls I have to do I enhance them and import them to sound packager. The reason I am here is You zubas told me about a link for testing. Where do I go to Find this link? I am sorry to bother you so much. Maybie you stop being so helpfull and I wont bother you anymore. LOL I am just kidding DONT! Anyways thanks to anyone who can help me?

Still don't know what to put in the avatar i'm going to make.

Any ideas on what it should be on?

I personally think that would make a great avatar as well.

I'm sorry but i just can't do my part. I have been busy these past couple of weeks and will continue to be busy til the end of spring. I have big tests to study for and i have recent family problems to deal with. I am sorry once again but i will not be able to continue my part of the project. Any of you guys can use the cupcakes i have made and anything else i might have posted.

I just asked mrs starkers's if I could upload the sound pack to her site so that someone or a few of you can hear it. I can upload them in a zip or sound pack. That is if she says it is okay. I want get her permission first becuase it is not at all! good sound quality. I have to do allot of adjusting to volume and what not but If she says yes then I will post a link so that you can see what sounds I came up with and tell me if it is okay. I figure It really doesnt need to be a fully absolute sound pack since the suit if for One day on your desktop but if\when it is uploaded i will post the link. ( :
