See Through Planets?

Hi everyone, just wondering but when I am playing SoASE all the planets are a bit seethrough. From the screenshots that I have seen all of them where solid and where not seethrough. I am just wondering if there is a way to disable this or is it some kind of texture error.

It's just one of those small things that kind of irritate you.

You are probably running tight on video memory or your multisampling is too high. Try reducing your multisampling first and if not, try reducing some of your texture settings.

Hehe yes a simple restart solved the problem, everything is all fine now.

When I tried to play a game, all the planets turned into icons, as well as the ships and structures. I also could not see the gravity well or anything else. Is it just that the video card could not handle the game, or is there another problem?

Also, on my other computer, the planets are slightly see-through, like I can see the stars and such straight through them. what can i do to make them solid?

I also have this problem on my machine. I've tried reducing all of the graphics to Low, but the planets remain transparent. Ships and Asteroids etc. are all fine though.

Oddly enough, Stars are not transparent, and I could swear that some of the planets in the menu are opaque.

I have an old Radeon 9250 with outdated drivers though (Newer ones cause catastrophic instability with 3D apps.)

ya ur video will play the games Oz and Shnitz but only on the zoomed out screen. If u restart and zoom in only a few hrs worth will last. I was trying to see if Sins would run on my windows 98 and it does but it bugs out on me when i zoom in and stay in that mode
