Using The ObjectDock Gallery Effectively

Breadcrumbs FTW!

ObjectDock is one of those utilities that once you use it for a little while, you just can't live without it.  The usefulness of having a customizable application bar on your screen for quick access to your most often used games, apps, tools and more can't be denied.  I mean look at Apple, their biggest UI improvement in OS X was the Dock.  ObjectDock gives that functionality to Windows users, and a heck of a lot more!

On WinCustomize, digging through our ObjectDock gallery is like digging for buried treasure.  There's a virtual ton of content to sift through from dock themes to individual icons, to icon sets and more.  So much stuff in fact that it's incredibly hard sometimes to find what you're looking for.

The Breadcrumbs on the gallery are there specifically for this purpose.

Alternatively, there are a few quick links you can use for commonly sought categories:

  • Dock Icons (link)
  • Dock Backgrounds (link)
  • Themed Backgrounds (link)

Taking the time to go through the gallery is definitely worth it.  If you do, you'd likely stumble across great skins like these:

I usually just go through the individual library and sort through by newest additions. Never paid attention to this option. I'm sure it will come in handy at times.

And on a sidenote.  :CONGRAT:  :CONGRAT:  @ my first time with a skin on the wincustomize home page.    Thanks Zoomba!

Ah, good job on writing this article Zoomba, most people don't even realize there is a docklets category because they don't know how to navigate it. Breadcrumbs ftw.  :CONGRAT:
