And if it doesn't get into the gallery you can join a real elite group of artists Personal Page Elite

Oh, now I see how it works. You submit your wallpaper and it either goes to the main gallery where everyone can see it an download it, or it is relegated to your personal page.

Learn something new every day.

What do you want to bet that my effort ends up with a PPE award??

There's no telling...... make a vista logon with your wallpaper and submit. That will go into the main gallery.

Then you can leave a link to the wallpaper in you logon description. You'll get plenty of downloads ;)

But I hate Vista with a passion that knows no bounds!! I'd rather have no one download my crappy little attempt at wallpaper than pimp myself out to do (shudder) a Vista logon just to get people to download my XP stuff.  ;)

Google for "Apophysis" and "Gimp" both are free

Also .... I just discovered Contextfree. It is a wonderful program for making wild abstracts.

I guess it all boils down to...do you want crappy abstract walls in your gallery...or respect as an artist?(I have a few I'm not proud of  X-( )

Well now, sometimes abstract features can be combined with traditional features to get something that looks really interesting.

Granted, there aren't a whole lot of purely abstract pieces that I'm partial to (or, rather "to which I am partial" ... mom was an English teacher for a while in her youth).

I used Contextfree to make some trees for my first submission to the gallery today. Of course, it probably won't be selected to go in the gallery, but hey, I like it.

Thank you, Skinhit. I got it. And, you are right, your icons would look really good with the Apocolyptic Kitty.

I did submit a wallpaper today. It wasn't the kitty ... it was sort of a Tim Burton style thingie. It's sort of odd .... I got an upload notice that it had been accepted (or something like that), but it never appeared in the main gallery, so I guess I now qualify for a PPE award.

Anyone wants to take a look at it and razz me to death about it ... here's the link:

I used Contextfree for the trees. It really is a fun fractal program.

Did I screw up when I uploaded it?? Someone's got to set me straight. I haven't a clue what I'm doing here.

Erg ... well, here's another link. Maybe you can get it here ... that is if you really like it. I would be nice if somebody liked it. The cats think it's crap, but then they think all of my artwork is crap. In fact, they think anything without a Fancy Feast label on it is crap.
