Hide on Mouseover?

I know this may sound a bit odd at first...why would I want a dock to hide on mouseover? How would I click on a shortcut, etc., right?

Well, I have docks on both sides of my screen. On the left, I have various SysStats monitors and on the right, I have a clock, calendar, and weather. I'd like them to be visible at all times yet have them disappear when I move my mouse over them.

For example, it would be nice to have the right hand dock disappear so I could use the scrollbar in Firefox. Fortunately, I have a widescreen monitor so I am able to offset the dock from the edge of the screen just far enough to access the scrollbar without blocking the content of most webpages. I'm not entirely thrilled with this workaround, however.

I have a feeling that this is about the best solution possible, but just thought I'd ask anyway...just in case there was some setting I was missing.

Thanks!

Since you have a widescreen monitor, have you tried the "Reserve edge of screen" setting on the right side dock. This would prevent the browser from covering the dock. The dock would always be visible, and the scrollbar accessible.

I had this thing written for this but that actually sounds better, what Koas said. Let us know though if you have more questions.
