MyColors causing DEP errors!!

since i installed MyColors last night i have had multiple errors from DEP in windows vista many programs wont run ie Sync center crashes everytime it loads and many other windows elements are constantly crashing. - i reverted back to vista aero desktop and all the problems stopped - is there anything i can do to fix this as i really liked the Mycolors theme?

its the free one that comes with mycolors (quest) - it applies fine and looks brilliant but then all the DEP errors started

Could you give us some more details about your system?  Cpu type, video card, windows version, what other apps running?

saphire X1950 crossfire edition - latest 8.1 drivers

vista ultimate 32bit

not much installed as its a relatively new install :-

objectdock
mcafee internet security 2007
skype 3.6
opera 9.5

this is an example of what is happening - opera, skype and mcafee all run ok but vista seems to be having problems running its own services

What version of ObjectDock do you have installed?

Also are you able to see what crash address is listed in event log?

as soon as mycolor is reset to the vista aero theme these both work normally

We have been able to reproduce this on one machine and believe we have tracked down why.

So there should be an update within the next week.  I believe mycolors 2 will pickup the new update automatically when you open it and apply a theme.

Just downloaded and installed an update for mycolors then restarted my machine and tried the quest theme and its still causing DEP errors

I am not sure if that particular update has finished testing yet.

I will find out.
