Buttons 4 and 5 still mostly not working on secondary with 4.21

Both buttons do work with a few apps on the primary having focus but most either consume the click or loose it.

Primary is XPpro, secondary VistaPremium32

Apps that pass the click to the secondary:
Windows desktop (everything minimized)
Opera
IE6

Apps that consume clicks instead of passing them to the secondary:
OE
Explorer
word07

Apps that eat 4/5th button clicks but are unable to use them:
Mirc
boinc manager
winamp
task manager
calculator
Notepad

Apps that keep 4/5th button clicks from being passed to the secondary but don't use them (although they do when they should be recieving the input)
Firefox

This isn't a scientific survey, since with the exception of IE/FF the lists consist of the applications I had open while posting this.

That is not normal.

What mouse do you have?

I have just tried this with a XP primary and a Vista secondary using a MS wireless mouse and buttons 4 & 5 are passed to the secondary regardless of which app has focus on the primary.  I do not have intellipoint running.

Make sure your buttons are setup to send button 4/5 rather than any specific functions as they tend to be processed locally well before the messages get to Multiplicity.

Logitech MX610 (left handed). Setpoint software is running. Buttons 4/5 are set to the default values of forward/backward.

I suspect setpoint is the problem here.  It sounds like it may detect the foreground app and sometimes does specific actions locally rather than just sending on the button presses as it should.

Check for any per app settings in that software, or simply unload setpoint.

It looks like you're right about setpoint being to blame since multiplicity works as expected when it's unloaded. There are per app settings (for OE and common office apps), but even with them all deleted out none of the problem apps (most of which didn't have a custom setting to begin with) still eat the button 4/5 clicks. Fortunately the button reassignments persist without setpoint running, but I'm going to miss the battery helath update if I can't get any satisfaction out of logitech on this issue.

Actually it seems I ca't drop setpoint as readily as I originally thought. Without it running I can't use the tilt ability of my scroll wheel to do horizontal scrolls. Unlike the low battery warning this is a major loss of functionality.
