RightClick won't 'Use WindowBlinds Skin'

what do I have to install?

Howdy,

I'm running Vista 32 Home Premium, lots of RAM, lots of hard drive, lots of speed.

I have the most recent WindowBlinds, RightClick, and ObjectDock. I do not have ObjectBar installed.

Trying to use the 'Use Windowblinds Skin' option in RightClick produces an olive green skin that I've never seen before and which is not in the list of available RightClick Skins. This green skin is always used no matter which WindowBlind I have loaded.

So, what am I missing?

Thanks for your help.

Known issue.  been reported.  :(

Thanks for that Zubaz...

Is the scowl because there is a problem with RightClick or because I didn't search the forums and this has been asked 10 billion times already? If the latter, I apologize profusely.

I think that is supposed to be a sad face, werewolf ... at least that what it looks like when you click on the 'sad smiley' ... it does look more like a scowl, though.

I think a lot of RightClick users have given up trying to use that feature and just make their own to match the WB.

Hmm, I see. Thanks pictoratus.

It would be nice to get that feature going again.

Also would be nice to be able to use .PNG's to skin it LOL. Seems it should now be possible with Vista, but that's another show.

Yes, it has been reported with all possible information along with it. Mike told me that everything had been forwarded to the developer, but I am not sure if Jeff is actually working on it right now.
Problem is that it doesn't seem to happen on all computers. For example: my work-laptop, which uses the same version of RightClick doesn't have a problem at all importing WB-skins, while my home system has exactly the same problem as yours.

What other SD-programs do you have installed besides OD, WB and RC?

Interesting; does this olive-green skin have a couple of narrow stripes along the left side of the menue (could it originate from the "Quest"-theme)? And do you have mouse-overs if you use this skin?

SD Proggies: ObjectDock Plus, RightClick, WindowBlinds6, IconPackager, StardockCentral, DeskScapes/Dreams, TweakVista, ThemeManager, DesktopX, SkinStudio6 and Aquarium Desktop 2007.

Olive Green Theme: Yes, narrow stripes down the left and I do get mouse-overs. I don't have the Quest theme (that I know of :)

The bitmaps are in this folder: C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\RightClick\Skins\WindowBlindsSkins\CurrentSkin\Popup

There is a file in there called Popup.obskin and it has a skin name: Reluna Olive Menus. I don't have that theme either.

It was supposed to be a sad face . . but I have scowled at Jeff at time or two.  (I've applauded him more often than not though)

So how is this coming along? Any headway?

Bump...

Is there anything being done to fix this? Back-burner?

Thanks

Nothing yet. It is just in line for updates is all. Deskscapes, Sins, Impulse... my apologies but the wait could go on for a bit. We have not forgotten the matter though.

Ok so I know this is an old thread but I was looking for info on this problem because even though I've had the same problem for quite some time i never really worried about it until I came across a setup that I don't have a good RC skin to use with. And since this was the only thread I found so far with the exact issue I figure I'll give it a bump and see if there has been any progress on fixing the issue. ;)

No progress, and from the sounds of it, no more effort will be put into RC as it is today.

RightClick is sailing off into the sunset, at least as it is today.  Someday there may be an overhaul, but nothing within the foreseeable future.

Yeah thats what I figured after reading brads post the other day. But figured I'd see if maybe there had been a fix for it already that I'd missed. Thanks guys.
