Want a WB that DOSN'T make the taskbar smaller

I use a double height taskbar - top section, has applications open, bottom section has icons that I use instead of desktop icons - all I want, is to find a few GOOD WB's that will save the height of the taskbar.

EVERY ONE of the skins I downloaded tonight (somthing like 20) reduce the size.
When my taskbar is double height the time /date shows up

10:00
Friday
2007-01-18

When I use any of the skins from WinCustomize, they all show up

10:00
Friday.

I've looked through around 30 pages of themes, and on WiMax it's slow going.
PLEASE.  Someone.  HELP!

I used to use MSSTYLES so I'll give an idea of what I used.:
Cleareo, Ezlo, Latoyce (for Vista) and LE Black is one I used on XP.  Oh, VXP was good, but only had small taskbar.

please please please please help me!

It's not so much the size of the taskbar, it's the size of the font in the clock section. If you open the skin in skinstudio, then navigate to taskbar > horizontal > system tray (might not be exact) you can edit the clock font size there (make it smaller).

I use a double taskbar also and all I have to do is hover over the taskbar and pull it back up after applying a blind and it stays double size until I apply another skin. Give it a go. It won't resize itself unless you apply a new skin, not even on reboot!

I also use doubletask and haven't had any problems.

Now is it actually reducing to single size, or is it just the date that's cut off in the clock (indicating the font size won't allow it)?

What I want is somthing like the Starfleet (but actually FITS) or the XP MCE Default.

Bebi just told you how to fix ANY wb to be the way you want...how many rows of text that are displayed on a double size taskbar is determined by 4 things...

Font size, font type(some fonts space differently than others),content margins for the tray, and original height of a single taskbar.Any of these can be changed with SKS.

You could even locate the font being used for the clock in the text adjustment area of WBconfig...and change it.

If your gonna be a desktop customizer and have certain things that just HAVE to be a certain way...learn to tweak...we do. ;)

I usually use skins that don't have 'reduced height' taskbars.
Why do customerisers think that EVERYONE wants a smaller taskbar? That's all I'm asking.
Is there any that I don't have to fudge around with?
I have about 8 good Vista *.msstyle's that I use that I don't have this problem and about 10 good XP *.msstyle's ... but I promised Brad I'd give WB6 a chance and I am. I'll continue to use it for a couple more weeks.

But I'm not at home this moment (at the laundry mat) and will try what he suggested when I return home.

They may not even have reduced height taskbars...they may be exactly the same as default XP...and still have only 2 lines of text on a double height.(reread what I wrote for WHY)

If your not willing to tweak a skin you like to your needs...then I guess its just hit and miss for you. ;p

Well...probably...but unless someone reads this thread, and has their taskbar pulled up,and has a skin loaded that meets your criteria...and feels like its important enough to respond...you'll just have to search them out yourself.

You gotta admit, this is probably a non issue for most users. ;)

Slider meets this criteria...but its 5$ :HOT:

2of3 don't get me wrong - I LOVE the Star Trek idea ... Starfleet is just ... not the right "fit" for me. It's also a little hard on my eyes, when using a LCD monitor. It's really 'bright' I think is the word.

I LIKE the work. Very cool design. :D
Please don't think I'm saying it sucks, because I'm NOT

Don't sweat it!

I'm not insulted ;)

The reference just caught my eye :)

I have the same problem. I like a double height taskbar and everytime I reboot its back to single. Is there a batch file I can run on startup to make it bigger? Or a setting in WB to make it stay.

It shouldn't be doing that, I've been using doubletask for years, with and without WB and never had it revert. Open the WB config > the taskbar size > mine is set to "skin decides" but you could try large taskbar.
