No prob Leo, as a wonderful friend of mine likes to say..different courses for different horses is all.

Yep, he's right. And 'this horse' was just suggesting a glance at another possible course  ;)

Frankly, Leo, I rather appreciate a solid core of skins that are very beautiful/useable. . . It is the skins with the fire-breathing dragons that should be the exception and not the rule!!

5 bloody well-deserved stars for this entire effort!! *****

I'v got an idea john, start working on a second version with a little lumberjack scaling the start panel. . . or a little pyromaniac striking a match at the base. . . the options are endless. LOL

Best Vista style skin to date IMHO. I have been using the skin half assed completed and it still wins out over almost all other skins. About time you finished it John.

I think Stardock deserves some kudos here...they hired the best Vista capable skinner to produce a small line of Aero specific skins.John had to werk within some pretty rigid guidelines and produced an Aero skin that even I would use.

And GAVE it to you.A classy move and a classy skin.

We are pretty certain that a lot of people would like to see additional flavors of Aero.

heard some of the hype beforehand and I guess I was expecting something special like Magic or Winter Wonderland or Sirus or Slider. I share some of Carl's thoughts. I guess we've been spoilt with those four suites and another version of Aero with a tacky woody look is hardly innovative, fresh or appealing nor, IMHO, is it a good use of a Master skinners time and effort. 2008 is a potentially big year for Stardock and I know there is an 'appetite' to feed when it comes to free skins but this is hardly going to impress many people. We all know who made this skin and his talents are much greater than this

I wanted an Aero skin with a wood texture. Feel free to go make your own skin.

I think a lot of people, besides me, would like to see additional takes on Aero.  I am looking forward to Aero Graphite, Aero Charcoal, etc.

was just 'challenging' the direction that Stardock are going with some of the 'free skins'. I like to 'challenge' from time to time

Whatever.  The nice thing about the free market is that everyone not only has an opinion but has an opportunity to do something about it.

Well now maybe I understand just a little better why vStyler felt you needed to quite smoking, the pressure.   (just joking here)

When all is said and done I think most people or atleast more people use skins that some may call "plain" because they like it. This new WB I believe will be one of them. Looking forward to the others is this series.  :CONGRAT:

How many wood types would you say are out there that are a bit opaque. I doubt it was easy to do. Kudos for the effort. :CONGRAT:  :CONGRAT:

Got Wood? :SURPRISED: hehe...

I love free stuff and this skin is awesome. By changing the color and saturation you can make this look like any kind of wood floor you want.

Thanks! :)

Terrific work!!

Too bad I can't run WindowBlinds without Explorer crashing repeatedly. (See here for more info.) Otherwise, I'd be running this blind all day!

OK, OK, I surrender.

I've been challenged to go make a wooden Windowblind Skin. I've been down to Home Depot this afternoon and ordered some 4 X 2, some varnish, a hammer and a load of nails. I'll need a tin hat too - mind you, I should have bought that earlier. This ain't going to be pretty and may turn out to look like your Aunt Bessie's outhouse at the bottom of the garden but it's a start.

What do they call it? Foot in mouth syndrome? Still, that will teach me not to be an arrogant SOB in future. No-one likes a smart ass especially if he can't do any better.

Goes off to eat a lot of 'humble pie'....................and write a thousand lines 'Engage brain and use tact and diplomacy skills before writing on forums'.............'Engage brain and use tact and diplomacy skills before writing on forums'..............

all is forgiven, Leo. . . at least by me. A great measure of a person's intelligence is their ability to recognize and admit when they are wrong!
