i am not illiterate nor stupid nor an idiot

i am not illiterate nor stupid nor an idiot

i have trouble with spelling, and i haven't written anything for over 20 years. at least not until i started writing on here. yes this is a bad excuse, but i will use it.

i do not pretend to be able to spell. i am the first to admit it.

i will not be silenced because people want me to be.

i have clinical depression. no the meds don't work on me.

i also have a personality disorder it means i hate being told what to do even if i know i should do it.

but i can read goodly enough to get by. if there is a word i have problems with i can look it up to find out what it means.

i have failed at everything i try. except driving taxi. but at least i keep trying.

i live with my dad have done so for 4 years because he said he needed help. my two brothers either wouldn't or couldn't do it. it was my biggest mistake moving here because my father is/was abusive. i knew that before i moved here.

no i will not abandon him. no i will not make it to heaven. that idea ended 44 years and 7 months ago. the day i was born.

the reason is because i remember my first thought. "SO THIS IS LIFE!!!!!!!!" and that was the way the thought came out. i remember seeing the shadows of the doctors and nurses. because i remember this, i know that there was something before life. a conses(spch)(ie a spirit) but not life.

but i do my best to do the best i can with everything i do.

my mom told me the first time i tried to hold a girls hand i was two days old. it was the girl in the crib next to mine in the hospital. lol.

i know some of you will flame me for what i have written but i don't care. i am just tired of people i disagree with telling me that i am stupid because i don't agree with them.

like in the last blog, will not name the person, i disagreed with her on which was more important and because i disagreed with her she called me the two names that i used in the title.

there have been a few others on here who have done this too. again no names.

with the exception of gene i do not think i have called any one stupid or an idiot because they disagree with me. if i have i am sorry.

when i make a mistake and i am sure i have made one. i admit it.

who doesn't
End of quote

I don't.  Hell, I know there are millions of people who are far worse off than I am, and I deal with all sorts of hell everyday (medically).  If I sat around feeling sorry for myself and using it as an excuse, I'd probably be 400 lbs and watching TV all day.  Instead, I pull my ass out of bed and go to work each day even if I feel like I got run over by a semi in my sleep.  Deal with it, dude.  It's life.  Life can suck.

as for libraries, most of the librarians that i have meet barely know how to turn on a computer. yes i am sure that in the bigger cities it may be a requirement. but in cities like salt lake it isn't.

I would have to say that where you live is an anomaly.  I have lived everywhere from metro areas to very small towns (like the one I currently live in) and all the actual librarians (not volunteers, but the librarians) where trained with computers and the particular systems that they use.

Heck, when I was in college (this was 15+ years ago), I worked as a student worker in the library.  Even I was trained on the computers, and that was before they were so very prevalent!

cornflakes.

lol.  I couldn't agree more.

Bullshit. I live in the Salt Lake area, and every librarian I've ever known knows enough to get you on the freaking internet.

that is what i said enough to turn on the computer and get you on the net. after that your on your own. unless the one expert is working at that time and in that library.

and if i remember right there is one expert on duty at the downtown library every day.

If memory serves me correctly our dear friend ModerateMan offered you a helping hand Danielost. I too offered to help you. As well as many others (LW, Gid, and probably more).

You rejected any form of help and instead posted a similar article as we see here. I have noticed peoples' responses to you have become more harsh. I think in large this is a result to your lack of courtesy in reading comprehension, response sensitivity. You rejected the correction then and you continue to.

If you aren't willing to listen and heed the advice given how can anyone look at you as a victim? Quit the pity party.

Now to address your title.

Here is the definition of idiot courtesy of dictionary.com

id·i·ot (ĭd'ē-ət) Pronunciation Key
n.

1. A foolish or stupid person.
2. A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers. The term belongs to a classification system no longer in use and is now considered offensive.

You are being foolish by not accepting the advice of others. You make responses that were completely unwarranted and wrong (for instance when you asked if KFC was going to start changing in the men's locker room). Instead of admitting your mistake or reading un-comprehension you went for a cover up approach. This is both idiotic and stupid.

You bring this pain and suffering on yourself. As I said before quit the 'woe is me' pity party.

For once in your life actually listen to what people are saying when they are actually trying to help.

But it won't surprise me if you once again disregard any advice given to you that 'rains' on your parade.

no kfc was trying to compare changing cloths on a bus where the girl is trying to keep everything hidden. and changing in a locker room where most people take showers.

so no my remark was not wrong.

This is where reading comprehension is important. If you go back and reread you SHOULD notice that the conversation context was about changing elsewhere BESIDES the men's locker room. The comment was a response to MY comment about how gals can change without revealing anything. KFC, responded mentioning that her X-C runners did it on the bus. In no way was KFC advocating that SHE (she being KFC) changed in front of the boys on the bus.

You then asked her if she (she being KFC) was ready to change in the Men's locker room.

You were out of line and your refusal to admit it again shows your foolishness for ill fitted comments.

Interesting how you love to play the self pity card but yet make insinuating remarks that border sexual harassment.

I did take some of his advise. I started using a spell checker. and you can call me Daniel if you want. but that might be confusing with all of the other Daniels.

Don't let this be your end, rather see it as a true beginning.

thank you but as i have said i haven't given up. but sometimes it is just upsetting that some people put more stock in spelling than what the message says. or at least it seems that way.

but I don't think I crossed that border.

also I understood what you and kfc was talking about. but I wanted to bring it back to the subject of that thread. I may have done it the wrong way. but I was trying to do a shock move. which I think worked. I will not say I am sorry for that. but maybe I should say am sorry that she took it the wrong way. because I did not mean that she(kfc) would every take a shower any man besides her husband and she may not do that either. that is the best i can do. you two can take it or leave it. but I stand by my question.

which was a woman who wanted to change in the mens locker room.

meaning that the college would have had to provide body guards every time she changed cloths. because, either someone would decide to remind her she was female. yes there are a lot of bad guys out there. or she would set the college up for a law suit when she got "raped". in this case something that she arranged.

as I have said before I do think differently than most people. I see a bigger picture than most do. probable because I don't trust people.

brad the reason I took your wife's statement as an excuse. is because I inserted the word "because". when she said"i am not a computer expert.(because) I have been a housewife for 11 years."

maybe I shouldn't have inserted that word. but I did. and to me that sort of statement is an excuse, or reason why I am not something.

of course now that I have made this explanation I expect to be thrown off for a day or two or what ever.

I am sorry I made a mistake.

LOL.  You think that most people are closed minded?  How do you see a bigger picture than the rest of us?

The problem is that you don't read what people write, instead you ASSUME you know what they are saying, even when you don't.

Her saying that she is not a computer expert, INSTEAD, she has been a housewife would be the same as somebody saying "I am not a computer expert.  I am have been in charge of Operations for 12+ years".  Yep, that would be a REASON.  It would be EXPLAINING why she was not what YOU claimed she was.  It's not an EXCUSE as you then went on to blabber about.

People can work at a company and not be an "expert" in the main core of the company.  I use multiple computers every day and I am not an "expert" by any means.

And, as a side note, my daughter is in elementary school and even she knows how to turn a computer on, get on the net, and google the websites that she is looking for.  No expert is needed to search for issues or information that you want to learn about.

Don't sweat the self pity writing, Daniel... I know I've used my blog as a means of venting while I was in a sea of self pity, and so have a lot of others here.

Misunderstand is one thing but context is another. You spout out one liners as if they are 'brilliant' rebuttals that have no logical sequence. You give us no context so it is EASY to misunderstand what you write. Especially, with statements like:

(Citizen)KFC Kickin For Christ
End of quote

so your ready to take a shower in the mens locker room with all the guys hanging out.

in this case I didn't make a mistake or misunderstand what was going on.

how ever how come kfc and you did not understand what I was trying to do. in no way was I attacking kfc. the thread was about a woman changing cloths in the mens locker room.

you two then decided to show how common it was for women/girls change on a bus without showing anything. so I tried to show that the two things were not the same thing.

like I have said I am so glad that I am not perfect like you people seem to be.

when I make a mistake I admit it and say I am sorry for the mistake. then I move on.

if however I am not convinced that I made a mistake then forget it.
making a mistake does not make anybody stupid or an idiot or illiterate. however knowing that you made a mistake and not correcting it does, or attacking someone after you have blacklisted them so that they cannot respond. no sorry that doesn't make you stupid or an idiot or illiterate, it makes you childish.

isn't that right little-whip.

it is so easy to attack someone who is tied up isn't it little-whip.

No, making asinine comments like yours proves someone stupid or an idiot.

And your inability to deal with comprehension proves your lack of literacy.
