i disagree with #1, with less than 15% of the overall market in computers they are nothing but a fly on the back of an elephant.

Trend #1: Apple is conquering the world

I have to agree with that, Apple is far from taking over the world. Yes they have come far from where they were to where they're at, but I'm sure Microsoft (who is obviously the true rulers of the world...lol) is far from getting sweat on thier brow because of Apple. Sure they have the market on the MP3 play and pretty much own the name, because even when referring any other company's MP3 player, you pretty much explain to the unteckies of the world that it's an IPOD so they understand what you have. The IPhone is another great that came from Apple but, like the IPOD, the IPHONE is far out of the reach of the average joe because the price is so outrageous. Apple has provided no new technology to the world other than making existing tech more expensive.

Trend #4: PC Makers need to provide a better experience to compete

no not really, PC the only thing a PC maker needs to do is provide a quality product at a lower price. PC's will be here a long time, we still haven;t broke free of the brick & morter business concept, what makes you think we will break away from the bulky box on your desk. I see PC's here for a long time.
It's all about cost and ease of use.

Everything else I tend to agree with. All IMHO. Have a Great New Year !!!
