Go into WindowBlinds configuration copy system info and post it here. Are you using the trial version?

Suggest you use SDC and update. There is a newer version.

so did the SDC manage to get the theme to apply? i myself encounter the same problem ,i cant try SDC right now as im at work

I have this problem also. I uninstalled Windowblinds 6, cleaned the registry etc., and reinstalled WB using SDC to get the updated version. However, the problem remains. I believe it is actually an issue with Windows itself. After I had uninstalled WB, I applied the Windows classic theme and upon reboot, the XP Luna theme showed up. I can find no solution to the problem and I am seriously considering a reformat.

zdove post your system info

jolly_antunes - did you try Philly's suggestion?
some of your files don't match what I show for WindowBlinds 6.0 (build 32 x86) downloaded and installed via SDC - some of them are close, so I'm guessing your downloaded via a link as standalone

if you had the trial installed and didn't uninstall it and reboot 1st, that would be a mistake

and don't forget to click the little box at the bottom - show pre-release versions - when you get Object Desktop up in Stardock Central

You also need the microsoft update .NET Framework 2.0 & it's relative updates, there's also a version .NET 3.0 tho it's optional if you want to install it,i've had no probs with it but that's just me ,you'll have to use windows update as i don't think autoupdate will have installed 2.0

zdove, do you have nVidia nView enabled or disabled? WB doesn't plaay well with nView....
try updating to 6.02 (build 42 x86)

and the nview thing
nView is disabled, always has been.

I've updated to WB 6.02 and on reboot everything is good (so far). There is one detail in WB config that keeps bothering me though. Each time I open the config Override Default Settings, the "Play sounds defined by the skin (if any)" has a checkmark next to it. I uncheck it and apply changes but it is checked on the next time I open the config.

for me, it seems if I don't go look in settings the sounds stay off - but once I go look to see if it's checked......
