Observations after 3 TA games

Minor races:
- still fill their orbiting queue with constructors, never move them...rendering the race incapable of deploying any military craft.
- ignore gifted ships (even when dropped off at planet first...so no "out of range" issues)
- never research the "Alliances" tech
- never upgrade starbases
- Snathi tech stealing event - game message says they are interested in a planets for tech trade, yet they treat all thier techs as too important to trade. (ie: will trade 1 for appx 8 planets, half your techs and all your money) Event may need tweaking to allow stolen techs to be traded for at a reasonable cost.

Major races:
- never research the "Alliances" tech

Mining ships: (note: didn't realize their was an auto function, so below notes are from controlling the ships manually)
- (appx. 70% reproduceable) - After a ship has finished a job with an asteroid field and you move it to one that is NOT adjacent, will sometimes not start mining upon arrival.
- I upgraded them to have 12 movement points. After a job was finished and I moved ship to another asteroid field a few parsecs away, the ship would move only with its original movement points if the destination was an asteroid field. If I set the destination for "open space", all 12 movement points would be used.

Planetary screen:
- if toggle a planet's governor to not auto update, then toggle it back some turns later, planet will not auto update.

Ship Designer:
- unsure about newer way of displaying the extras. Possible to create a toggle to switch between the newer collumn/row style and the older scroll-down?

General notes:
- Immense maps - love them!

An update... played a couple more games at B3 and at least 4 more at B4

- Haven't seen the Snathi even since, so can't comment on that.
- Minor races aren't filling their orbit queue completely
- Minor races still aren't upgrading any starbases

- Just finished a "Tough" game in which only the Drath had researched "trade" and ZERO races (including minor races) had researced "Alliances"....after 8 years.

- Mining ships... using the "auto" feature... don't like that they will go after asteroids that are obviously in another race's controlled territory. AI needs to be updated to at least prevent the wasted effort that will result in establishing a mining base that will immediately culturally convert.
- Also, even when chosing "improve", the mining ships will not continually improve. After 1 belt improved they switch back to "auto". If I wanted them to go racing across the galaxy to mine fields I can't keep.... scratch that, I wouldn't want them to...ever.

- Used cheat mode to create an advanced race. With the player race very dominant, no other race ever declared war on another...not even a minor race. Even if there are multiple "super powered" races, the less advanced races should still squabble amongst themselves to improve their station.

QFT. This needs to be looked at.

Minor races: I don't see them that much but it sounds like they are broke

Major Races: I have noticed that but I trade or gift the tech if needed. I can see how that could be a problem if playing with no tech trading.

Mining Ships: I qalways automate mining ships so I haven't see the first problem mentioned. I have pretty good luck holding on to my mines regardless of where they are, but I see your point. As for speed, I am pretty sure that is how they are designed to work. Freighters are the same, they only use increased movement points on the original trip to a planet. When they are doing their auto-thing the speed is minimum.

Not sure about the cheat thing
