Vista SP1 ( beta ) and Desktop X

will not work together

after loading the new service pack ( SP1 ) beta for
Vista 32 bit , I now find that Desktop X will not
work , the other programs seem to be working
so far - so I guess a fix will be in order as
soon as you can fiqure it out - any ideas yet ? :NOTSURE:

It'd be a case of tail-chasing to work out a fix for a beta of SP1.  Makes a lot more sense to wait for the complete out-of-beta ver.... both for DX solutions AND for your OS ....;)

Not a lot should change from RC to RTM. Companies need to be proactive on things like this so they work upon or shortly after RTM. This is why so many applications and hardware still does not work right with vista. They drug their heels through the betas and RC's.

I know this sounds strange but you have to turn UAC on for DesktopX to work. You can use TweakVista to change UAC to remove all prompts for elevation and that will stop the constant nagging.
Be aware that even running UAC in this mode, UAC will not allow some thing like printing to a PDF to take place. That in it's self caused me to dump SP1.
