Careful with the Beta...you might get burnt out

Been reading some complaints about the game getting boring. This will happen if you play a game that's still in development.

I was happy to invest into this game and get a sneak peek at whats coming but I know better than to keep playing a half-finished game.

By the time the game is finished a lot of beta testers will be very burnt out and will blame the game when in fact they only have themselves to blame.

This is an excellent observation and one that should be tempered with the knowledge that the beta version is highly crippled and lacking many important features and game play elements.

Ive been following the game long before the beta, and been playing all 4 of beta stages. So to avoid (as you said) getting bored or burnt out, i take some small pauses from it when i start to get the feeling.
Though im always browsing the forum and listening/talking on IRC.

So at release, im ready to kick some newbie ass :LOL:

I like sins and it makes fun to play, even against the AI.

Meh, I do agree feeling some boredom when I play, the fact that it takes so long and gets repetitive in longer games turns me off.

Still, i'm waiting patiently for the release.

My graphics card died on me this morning so I guess I'm getting a well earned rest from any gaming. Atleast I can still play Civilization. Hooray. Kael released phase Shadow of Fall From Heaven. It's all I can do now! *curses at his second gainward card to break down in 2 years time*

singleplayer and multiplayer, it has quite a bit more in it currently than genesis rising ever did >.>

OMG the OP is a genius! Mainly ive been avoiding the beta cus of two things, if i get used to some strategy balancing changes might screw me up and because i might like advent more than vasari or tec(right now TEC is winning).

Lastly Ive been holding off any opinions because of the publisher(I know stardock has little to do with the coding and design) they have published some excellent games(GC and GCII mainly).
