Stardock Central install

Stardock Central install without internet access

Hey Guys,

I would like to install Object Desktop on a computer without internet access. I have a copy of SDC and all of my Object Desktop modules archived on a cd. But it seems than when I try to install SDC it wants to connect to the internet to download something. Is there a way to install SDC without it needing to connect to the internet?

Thanks in advance,
Ritho

Ritho: It's not necessary to connect to the internet even after you've installed Stardock Central. Let it error out and/or cancel out of any dialogs that say it's trying to connect and it should still open. It will just have a Login Failed indicator to the right of SDC's status bar. If you go to File->Restore Archive, you should be able to point SDC to the modules you have on the CD.

Just for the record, SDC will be looking in C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\BACKUP for the archives by default. (This is changeable through Tools->Settings->Advanced)

Thanks! That worked. Actually clicking cancel on one dialog made the program close, but the other button (I forget what it said) let the install finish.
