ObjectDock+ and problem with playing movies

Hello,

I have WIN XP SP2 installed and recently installed ObjectDock+. Everything seemed to be fine untill yesterday when I wanted to watch movie. I am using media player and I have following problem:

I play movie on minimalized window and it works fine, but when I maximalize media player window I get blue or gray screen on full screen and hear sound track only.

Turning off ObjectDock+ fixes problem.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Brachson

There is a problem with how MS Windows handles overlays.  There is no fix.

You can also turn off overlays in WMP

Open WMP (10 and lower).
Tools | Options | Performance | Advanced
First try turning off overlays, and then if that does not help, turn off the Video Mixing Renderer.

Ummm I said Media Player which is not Windows Media Player but Media Player Classic.

So again, I use Media Player Classic. Anyway it could be still layers problem.

Lower case indicates generic media player.  Generic in this case would be likely be the default installed on Windows.

Clarity is key when reporting problems and looking for a solution.  :NOTSURE:

Try adjusting your z-order settings and see if it makes any difference.

I had the exact same problem, the only way to solve it (besides turning off objectdock) is changing "Overlay Mixer" (under "Options > Playback > Output") to any other option.
