Wallpaper Idea...

So I've tried to develop this wallpaper concept that I thought would be trend setting, but wanted to know if there's something I'm missing? You know how you can change your background color of your desktop, right? Ok with that in mind, imagine creating a transparent template that applies gradients and such but overall the base is transparent. So that when you change the background color of your desktop, it will apply to the transparent wall that you have set....I've tried .png's,.jpeg's and.bmp's. Is there something I'm missing or is this even possible? I hope I've made myself clear....

Doing some tweaking, I got it! OK, so....you have to use a png as your wallpaper(which I'm about to upload to the wallpaper gallery) as your template,right-click your desktop. goto "properties", goto "desktop", under "position" click "center", under "color" pick the color of your choice, click "apply", click "OK"...enjoy my friends, imagine the possibilities... ;)

Sounds like a great idea if not a little limited in terms of template design. A 'mac' type theme springs to mind :D

I made a transparent png, set desktop properties like you did but all I have is a grey background with white graphics I made. Did I missed something? :NOTSURE:
