WC Charity/Subscription Drive - Day 28

Reason 1: For shear choice and quality W/C cannot be beaten.
Reason 2: The talent and efforts put in by the skinners is unbelievable.
Reason 3: The willingness of W/Customize staff to sort out even the most smallest problems.
Reason 4: An excellent forum facility, that is well run and monitored.
Reason 5: An attractive,easy to navigate and well run web site that is updated regulary with interesting and useful articles and news items.

Easy! you are having a laugh I will think about it and if I can come up with some thing that can do justice to the programs but mainly the site and people that use it I'll post it but don't hold your breathe, don't want anyone dying.

wow...snake apparently put some thought into that. I was expecting the first reply to have at least ONE smarta$$ comment like "where else can you go to see Zubaz's astonishing mastery of spelling?".......  

Ok so the quality of the programs is top drawer and the number of different ones is the only draw back which one/s do I want to install for what I want to do.

If you do have a problem you can quickly get it sorted by Wincustom/Stardock or at least get advice on how to over come it, or they will look into the problem if it is down to their program and try to find away around it.

Even if you know nothing about computers the programs are so easy to use that you can use them to totally change the look, feel and sounds on your computer.

Then you have the web site where you can download top quality stuff for nothing a quick thanks would be nice but you don’t even have to do that.

The Forums on Wincustom are Brill. People you don’t know and will never meet will bend over backwards to help you out if you have a problem, or want to get into skinning or it’s seems anything else you may want an answer about. It is a great place to go for a laugh with a good mix of humour from a brilliant selection of people who just want to get the most from skinning and the site.

So what makes Wincustom/Stardock so good is the fact that they value their customers and the input from their customers hence such a great site for everyone to use.

Why I should win a subscription.

Too stupid to make my own stuff.
Been a member so long you would think I have learned enough from the best in the business to do all of this myself.
Because my friends think I do this stuff all by my self, until I tell them where I get it all.
I have the nicest desktop of all my friends and need more to show them they too can have the same stuff if they would only purchase a subscription of their own.
If it's free, it's for me if I can get it.
And finally, because you asked us to give it a try to win.

I can never say enough how happy the last 8 years of my life have been being a member here. I have enjoyed the great forum, the wonderful people who help me out of a jam on a regular basis, and all the wonderful and different programs offered here.

There is no better place for me to stop by almost daily and find something new to add to my collection.

Thank You to everyone here who are the greatest artists in the world who give their talent away for almost nothing.

And finally, I want to thank the mods here who put up with me year after year, I couldn't do it without you folks. I have learned a few things here that have atleast made me a little smarter for and old lady.

Here are my five reasons.
1. I like WinCustomize because it opened a big door of knowledge ( I had no idea I could customize my pc this way)
2. WinCustomize explains everything and therefore is easy to find my way around.
3. The search engine is awesome, I can search the most popular icons etc and view ratings
4. I haven't been here for long but the staff seem very nice.
5. I like this site because becoming a member was free and I have no idea what the subscriptions are for. Guess I ll find out if I get one =]

I may not use big words, yes it makes you sound intellectual but this isn't English class, nor are we downloading essays. This is pure art man !

My Top 5 Reasons

1. Wincustomize has a nice beginner-friendly community that does a good job of not putting down others, which is the main reason I learned how to customize my PC.

2. The software like windowblinds and object desktop is easy to use and is very straight forward. It's easy for beginners to get used to it, but there is so much more to learn to take advantage of the programming language.

3. Downloads are mostly free and there is a HUGE variety to choose from. You can get almost any theme you can think of here.

4. The site layout looks awesome but is simple enough to navigate; especially with breadcrumbs.

5. I love the news section of this site, and check it every day! Overall, this site rocks and is worth checking for updates at least once a day.

very good odds on winning a prize but got to be in it to win it

1. Without WinCustomize the Operating Sytem interface would be attrocious.
2. WinCustomize is always giving back to the community.

For what it's worth; Stardock is not Wincustomize and WC is not Stardock. 
Stardock makes the apps.
Wincustomize hosts the skins and forums.  Some of the skins (the most popular) are for Stardock apps though there are many galleries for non-Stardock apps (Winstep Xtreme is my favorite one at the moment).

The software Stardock produces doesn't need WC (although if all we had were the skins that came with the apps and what we created for ourselves the world would be an emptier place).

AS it says Stardock Forums at bottom of page and you seem to work hand in hand thought there was a closer bond than there is then. Still it works well which is all that matters at the end of the day.

1. The forums are where I go first. I feel like this has become my extended family. There are plenty of people here with a wonderful sense of humor. When I'm reading a post, I often find myself laughing out loud in a very quiet room. My husband and kids usualy ask what I'm laughing at. I read them the post and soon we are all laughing. In a way, these forums have brought my immediate family closer together and gives us something to talk about and share.

2. There are so many people here that are so helpful. When I've gotten stuck on a project, all I had to do is ask for help. Even the simple "yes" or "no" replys to my questions taught me something. So, if you do not know something...ask, you will get lots of help!!  

3. The main gallery is where I go next. The quality of the work that is published here is amazing. The sheer effort that is put into the skins, walls, etc. is daunting sometimes. Someday, I will be able to achieve the "awesomeness" I see there.

4. The site itself is a breeze to navigate around. Anything you want is just a couple clicks away. (don't need to say much more than that, right?)

5. The subscription. No ads!!! What more can you ask for?? Get as much stuff as your heart desires...unlimited downloads!!

If you dont have a subscription...It's really worth it to get one. Win it if you can, or purchase it. You won't regret it!  

This has been a lot slower than I thought it would. Hard work giving away subscriptions on this site. I was more just trying to help push it along more than win anything. I'll deal with becoming a subscriber when in a position to do so. So just disregard entry. Thanks.
