Last night I spent a little time over at Applebee's having a few adult beverages, some dinner, and knitting a bit at the bar. I guess the bartender likes the hat that I made for her. She said that she had shown it to her mother who complimented the work. While there a few of her friends wandered in and she introduced me as "The guy who made me the cool hat I showed you". I guess it's a hit with her.

One of the young guys even asked me if knitting was hard to learn. I told him that learning the basics was pretty easy and steered him toward a few resources he could use to learn. He actually seemed genuinely interesting in learning which I thought was pretty cool.

I had a pretty good time there and a couple of people bought me a round while we shot the bull. I've been been accused of being shy LOL

I did make an early evening of it and headed back to my hotel room to relax and watch the idiot box for a while. I didn't want to spend Sunday nursing a hangover instead of enjoying the time off. I'll be enjoying doing nothing today as it'll be back to work tomorrow.

I may even do something I rarely do and have myself an afternoon nap.

Hey, I resemble that remark frequently on weekends

Meanwhile, I meant to ask are you at all a gamer?  I'm thinking, in your case, mostly of the portable gaming system type stuff -- a Sony PSP or maybe a Nintendo DS to play on as there's some decent games on either system to sit and kill a little time with.

Or, of course, you could always kill several hours playing some Galactic Civ II

I've never been much for napping during the day but today it does seem a fine idea.

Not much of a gamer at all. I tend to prefer activities that are more productive or creative.
