So, I know it's going to be a long time before custom races come back, but I've been thinking:
What with the tech editor, improvement editor, and race-specific tech trees, custom races now have the capacity to be VERY unique. However, they will also have a fair bit of "baggage", from their tech tree file to any unique improvements they need, etc. What I'm wondering is, will there be an easy way to "package" custom races to send them to other people?
Personally, I think it would be really cool to have an official database that people can upload custom races to, and download other people's races from. Kinda like the mod database, but for custom races.
What do the rest of you think?
