The firefighters down-under (all over the world) do a fantastic job and deserve all the support and accolades they get...they are true heroes.

Needed Elvis this afternoon...idiot over the back fence was burning off his garden waste during a drought/total fire ban...set off our smoke alarms, along with a few of the neighbours as well.

Reckon he might think twice in future....fire service came out and issued an on-the-spot fine (can be up to $10,000 for the first offense)...2 units attended so the (non-urgent) call out fee will also be horrendous - serves the twit right.
