Background of upper panel looks very  . . harsh to me because it's so black.
Anyone else have an opinion?

bullcrap. Take a look at my walls in the gallery. Maybe the background I used on them would work instead of white. It's a very blurred version of the stump wall. OR..look at my Geneology Icon in OD, I used that on another preview, blown up and blurred.


I can send it in layers if it helps.

I just downloaded it extracted and opened .png in Macromedia(Adobe)Fireworks animated fine all 14 frames were there.But since we had trouble I reuploaded and included each frame separate.WWW Link

I think white back is best as get less colour loss when drop to 16 colours

What is with all the black around the top of the torches and the fuzzy edges? Is this something I can clean up for you on my end? Would another format work better for you? PSD?

I'm just having a go in MS Paint when open in paint by using edit on right click when viewing a file get this.

Can ou use PSD's? Does anyone know what format would work best for me to send him the images?

I'm assuming when you open the image it has a 'background' even though it shouldn't?

If your getting the png with NO background and can make a layer and add your own, let me know. I think I have a solution to the fuzziness.

have you seen my boots, mainly photos thats cause when it comes to making it myself it is a waste of time. It's been fun but not going to be any thing like as good as you lot can make, passable at best is all we can hope for, want better than feel free to do them, you can cause you know how,I have just been playing at it.

The one I posted for this is the first one I ever did by myself and the bar sucks!

When you open my images, are they clean and do they have a white background? If they are not distorted and you can add your OWN background, I have something that will help preserve the integrity and only alter a bit. Something YOU can do.

if I look at them in IrFanview they have black background and if copy and paste into paint stays black.

If open in paint by using edit then most of it becomes white but not all which is why not clear.

just tried net paint looks better so maybe able to do something better

COOL! Can you remove the white? PSP has a magic eraser that will remove the clor you click on without having to draw or cut. I don't know what paint has (MS or Paint.)

The tool I use will vectorize it and some of the detail is lost..it looks more 'painted', but holds up..kinda cool, huh?...then when you apply the boot color settings (4bit, etc) very little is lost.

Try saving your entire image as a jpg when you have it where you want it. DO NOT apply the boot color settings. Then go to this site WWW Link
upload it and play with it. It's quick. When you get what you want, save it, reopen it in your program and THEN apply the boot color settings and tweak it. See if it works better for you.
