A couple bugs (Korath + dread lord event)

The big thing here is that the Aul incinerator is GIVING tiles, not removing them! Planet quality goes up after it's construction.

Also, a strange bug I encountered: I got the dread lords mega event, and they decided to take over one of MY planets instead of an empty one. The result... my planet was overwritten, the planet and star were renamed to Amalga and all the improvements were written over with industrial sectors. However, my ships remained in orbit, yet I couldn't deorbit them! When I brought in my transport to end their "menace" I was actually incapable of invading until I went to the lease screen and manually scraped the fighters.

I'll admit, though, once I wiped out the dread lords, that was a REALLY nice planet to stick an Aul incinerator.

Ah, jeez, I can't believe I forgot: the Korath don't have spore tech! Germ warfare is in there, but no spore modules.

I've seen the Dread Lords take over inhabited planets before as well. This was occurring in DA in the later versions. I reported this months ago and assumed it was either working as intended or fixed by now. I haven't yet seen the DL in TA Beta 2 so I can't be sure. My experieince, however, was limited to the Dread Lords taking over minor race planets. Everything else is just as you wrote, including having the minor race's ships still in orbit around the planet. In fact, even though the minor race that was absorbed never showed up on the map again, one could still contact them on the diplomatic screen.

I had the same unfortunate event back in DA. It was very unfortunate as it was "the perfect storm".

I decided to see what the DL could be if you didn't gank them the first month of their arrival. BIG mistake. Ships with 2k mass drivers wasn't a welcome sight. The PQ 30 or so planet they made was nice too. The OTHER horrid thing that happened was that they had developed on a Torian world, and as you saw in your experience, there were Torian ships in orbit. So, in order to defeat the DL I had to declare war on the race that inhabited 50% of the galaxy and had a stronger military than I. I tried my damndness to buy that ship from them, but either it wasn't on the list or I just didn't have enough to hand over for it.
