Ship creation with Arceans

In 2 games now i get to a certain point, usually when im ready to make large ships, I make a large ship with lots of weapons, save it with a new name. and it doesn;t appear in the ship selection screen. and i can't create any more designs of any size, the last medium ship i made is the last one i can use. at the time I only had 4-6 designs being made so im not running out of room.. no idea whats going on, but it sounds like a bug,

it hasn't happened with terrians, have played the Deng yet

I have had this problem as well. In two instances in my last game (playing Arceans) I saved off ships but they would never appear. I created a small hull ship with a couple lasers, an ECM and a engine (exactly 24/24 size), saved it off and it never appeared on the ship list. I did it three or four times, if I use the same name for the ship, it asked me if I want to replace it, but it never pops up.

If I create a different ship with a different configuration it would work, and it would appear.

Two more interesting notes, when I researched Advanced Hulls (I think, maybe medium hulls) the ship all the sudden appeared. However this time, I couldn't create a medium size ship with a Fire Control System.

It seems that certain configurations aren't working properly... you can save them off, but they do not appear in the list.

I mailed in my saved game and debug file last week, I hope you guys can reproduce it.

grazzit05 I suggest you mail in your too, and list the steps it takes to reproduce the problem.

I have had a similar problem, but with mine, I also researched advanced hulls, but the new designs did not appear. But it is saving the designs, because I also get the "do you want to overwrite" warning when I try and save with the same name.

Hi.  Yes, this bug has been fixed.  We'll be including the fix in the next update of the beta.
