TA Beta1 would make a good demo ??

I think this beta would make a great demo, yeah it doesn't have a turn limit but it limits a lot of features of the game after all it only allows you to play 3 players. If Stardock was to create a new demo for TA I vote to make beta 1 the demo. Does anyone else agree?

This type of game would be very simular to the Origional C&C (command and conquer) demo way back about 10yrs ago when that type of strategy game was just starting to become popular which gave you 3 levels to play and really made me want the full game to get into it.

No.

Demos need to have an absolute minimum of bugs, so as to not give a bad impression of the finished product. TAb1 most certainly doesn't fit that bill.

For a demo, I'd restrict galaxy size as well.

Generally, there are still too many bugs in the Beta to use it as a demo. A demo should be a 'light' version of the full, bugfree game - not a snapshot of the development like a Beta.

well I'm not saying as it sits with bugs but say if the bugs were fixed I think it would be 'light' form of the game.
