Magic Desktop

The Magic Desktop is a nice theme, but i was wondering if anyone has plans to add on to this. With out a cursor theme, OD backrounds and OD icons it seems to be an incomplete suite. I'm not complaining, but just curious about its continued development by other authors. I myself am not talented enough to do such things and it would be nice if someone can complete the work.

Here is my idea for a cursor if anyone is interested


even a rainlender and Sysmetrix themes would definitely add to the "magic"

Why not send a request for approval/permission to upload it on wincustomize to stardock by sending a mail to with a copy of your theme.

I made a dock and a sysmetrix based on Pantheon and was told (at the time) as long as i used my own graphics it was fine and both are in the libraries.

I will try that, but I don't get good results from stardock design, usually. I have tried twice and got turned down. Once with no response. I did, however, get the ok to upload a DX Theme for Turbo, IF I can make it resolution independent. I will try to get help with that because I don't seem to be able to figure it out by myself. I would be happy to have help from anyone who reads this post and wants to help. I also have a DX theme for the molten blinds, it is posted on my sight as a screenshot. The last response from Stardock Design on that one was they asked me to send them a copy, did that, never got back to me on it either way.

to make resolutions independents i don't think the only thing i saw it that look at "adjust position.." (thanks again Gef to show me it)

If there's no permission for the DX theme from Stardock Design [as yet] to upload it here on the site then it would follow that any alternate form of distribution would not have consent which makes it a copyright issue.

Modifying/altering/porting a skin is fine only when it is for personal use.  Once distribution to a third party is involved it comes under the restrictions/limitations of copyright....

Goo....I will make a point of finishing the Magic docks by the weekend. I have most of them done...just need to do some tabbed docks yet.
