and I dont mean smileys linked from the web.

Ok, second go around at this...

I've grown to adore the emotes used in the forums.. but please please please can we have some new ones.. maybe an extra 6 I personally would like to see, Blushing\Embarrassed, Kissy\huggy, Tired\sleeping, Drunk\buzzed, Nodding Yes and Shaking Head No.

Ive suggested a contest in the past to design new ones to match the current ones..

Hopefully if enough people agree maybe you can make it happen, it really adds to the overall interactivity of a forum and make it a better place to hang out.

I'd like to see a lot more than 6, Neowin has like 100, DA..tons, Hell, even Maxstyles has around 30 but I'd personally be happy with 6 more..

If not.. is there a specific reason?

I too would like to have more smilies as well as colored ones. I would aslo love to have some made for Birthdays, Welcome and more silly ones.

There's a few 'specials' ... eg Chinacat's and others' ....they date back a long way....before Cerebro's standard ones.

We probably could do with a few more....or even more 'stylish' [3D] ones .... as long as they don't dominate/overshadow the actual thread content itself....

I vote for many more smilies!!! For a site so large we have the smallest of all the smilies verses other smaller sites which have at least 50 or more.

yep...definitely need more smilies.......I like the ones we have now.....but need more of 'em.......apart from the ones already mentioned.....need a dazed/bewildered............bewildered/shrug............ what the...... smirk....snickers.....a single thumbs up......maybe a BUMP one....tantrum......woohoo.........who me?.......just some suggestions.....but keep 'em simple....

other ideas sound good too...the winky ones etc.....but would hope they were in addition to....not instead of....the current ones....
would hate to see these ones disappear......

I too fully agree we need a greather assortment of emoticons. You can never have too many ways to express yourself.

I'm also not surprised that it was vStyler that started this; I think he communicates more through smilies than words.

The competition idea is great too. Let's have something like that, or even a smilies section in the gallery, hm?

Anyways, hope something comes out of this.
