The Monday Moan

A New Recurring Article

It seems like most people hate Mondays, for working people it means the end of a two day off period, for others it just means the beginning of another week.

I am posting this to let folks "get it off their chest" what happened this weekend that pissed you off!, What did you do that you really did not want to do. What did you read, hear, or watch that touched a nerve inside of you. Did you mate leave that dirty piece of clothing on the floor for the "last time"? Did you really want to do something that you just could not get to? Did your kids almost bring you to a 'homicidal rage?"

Did you neighbors dog crap in your yard and you saw a flash of red? Did you want to make love and got a " I am to tired" from your mate?

Did you spend hours cooking that special meal that was devoured and did not even get a simple thanks? Was someone in customer service rude to you and you wanted to reach across the counter and snatch them up and slap them silly? Some one cut you off while driving? Some one had their turn signal on for 11 miles and then turned in the opposite direction from where they were signaling?

I think you all get the idea now, so blast away my joeuser friends, get it off your chest and lets take a look at the human condition.

Her name is Luscinda.

Watching TV and sleeping...you really can't go wrong there.

Should've been studying, but that would've made it a bad weekend.

Hmmm, let's see,
1) I spent the weekend cleaning and doing laundry. I dind't want to spend so much time doing it but I had to...wah!
2) I was p.oed at my hubby because yesterday he went to play/hang out with his friends, while I wanted to go to the park or something. I told him I was p.o.ed, he told me it's just because his tournament is coming up he has to get a lot of practise in....like I want to hear that....I was just being prissy though...chalk it up to the tail-end of my PMSing...and the end of my chocolates....lol!....I drank a beer and felt more mellow!! Then my daughter went to the park with her friend's family so I let her!
3) My son and I spent an hour doing homework, him dictating me writing, his arm is still out of commission. We have more to do later this evening too! As long as I can knock it off before Heroes begin, I'm fine. And yeah, hubby is going to be off to the club again this evening, he's waiting on me to get home....but tomorrow is my hang out at the gym!
4) This weekend I cooked Lasagna on Saturday, everyone loves it! Times like this I miss my oldest, she loves it too. On Sunday I slaved over the stove again, while doing laundry!
I ended the evening giving myself a shampoo & conditioner and a nice long shower. Then did my toes and fingers....

Isn't my life just so wonderful?!!

Say, how was YOUR weekend?

There's really nothing I want to get off my chest.

Now, if you put Ali Larter in front of me, there's some clothing I'd like to get off her chest

Colleen and I had a spectacular time at the ocean, we made good use of the fire place, our place is a stones throw from the ocean BTW, the sunsets were awesome! We went out to eat at a five star restaurant, I has duck, colleen had filet minion, then after dinner in front of the fireplace I had Colleen for dessert! yummy! The only thing that went wrong was we had to come home to two pissy cats, they missed us!

1. put insulation in the attic
2. cleaned up GIANT MESS caused by a broken hose that filled kitchen and breakfast nook with said inuslation and listened to wife bitch about GIANT MESS.
3. Sat barefoot later on patio with son and father in law shootin' the bull and worked way through a twelve pack of Coors Light in the bottle while grilling some steaks.
4. Slept in Sunday morning and woke up feeling pretty good.
5. went looking at some grassland where I plan to put some cattle on next month with youngest son.
6. went to bed and reminded myself that Monday is just a concept...

When the pain eases up, I'll tell you about "the one that got away" (a Takamine I should have had for about 1/6 it's retail price!)

Handmade by a master luthier in Paracho, Mexico.

I love my new tenor guitar. Plus, the adventures with a brand new tuning that I've never encountered before (CGDA) make it all the more fun.

Mondays are ok.  It is Fridays, after everyone has had  week to figure out how to screw things up, that I hate the most.

Shit on the contract expiring, something will come through, it always does.
