network shortcuts on dock while not connected results in slow startup

Hi

i have 2 shortcuts to UNC-pathes (network resource) on my dock, but i'm using a notebook and the network-resources often aren't accessible when i startup objectdock. This will slow down startup of the dock to several minutes (5-6 minutes the process is listed in task-manager, but the dock is not shown)

Is there any trick to have network-links on the dock, that aren't always accessible without slowing down the startup?

btw: pressing the right mouse button on those links while not connected with the network will also "freeze" the doc for minutes.
