Friday and that.

or; Friday and that.

Friday and that.

Sitting at work, listening to the incomparable voice of Maria Christensen, thinking about the homework that's due this weekend that I have yet to start.

I'm gonna play my guitar when I get home.

I'm actually going to eat lunch today; I'm thinking an Arby's sub is in my future.

Friday and that.

I want a seven-string guitar.

I want a mandolin.

But I have to save my money for Spain. So . . . no new instruments. (Besides, I have eight stringed things. You'd think that eight would be enough, wouldn't you? It's never enough.)

I have a disease. BlueDev calls it Guitar Acquisition Syndrome. i call it Good Times Funstuffs. But GAS is a cooler contraction than GTF.

I got my passport application in today. It's looking like green lights on the semester in Spain. Heck yeah, babee. I'm going across the big blue.

Yeah, it'll cost a bunch, but it'll be worth it. It's only money. They make more every day.

And a semester over there would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Heck yeah, babee.

Friday and that.

I got to be honest, the jealousy kicks in a bit when I think about your semester in Spain, but not enough for me to begrudge you that opportunity at all. For some silly reason I have it in my mind that I will miss you while you are over there. Then I pull my head out and realize that, with the pretty rare exceptions when we make it out there or you have come out here, we pretty much only communicate electronically (email, IM or phone), so it won't really change that.

Have a good one bro.

Please PLEASE please can I go with you?  I'm short enough to fit into a suitcase and I've got plenty of body fat to use (and lose) on the trip over there!  By the time I got there, I'd be 10 lbs lighter!

Make it happen, B.  Make it happen, and then stop by ST Louis on the way back and come and see me.

So true. Although I was planning another Spring Break out there before Spain came up.

But Spain, man. Spain.

I just might have to.

Hey! I'm obsessed with guitars lately, too. I've got a loaner, as I'm just starting to learn, but I'm very happy thinking about buying one to call my own.

Spain! Lucky you. Have fun, for sure.

Wow, a semester in Spain might sounds like it will be awesome. You might even find a cheap guitar maker over there too and teach him some English in exchange for a seven-string guitar.
