How to make Hue, Transparency, Saturation sliders?

Hi!
Well I have made my own widget containing clock and different system information with nice graphics. That's cool! But the problem is that I don't know anything about scripting. All scripts I have in my widget I've borrowed from other widgets.
Could someone help me please with such things as sliders!!! OK, I have my widget, but I need 3 sliders (hue, transparency, saturation) for some parts (objects) of my skin to finish it... Can the position of sliders be saved?
Is there any examples, of actually working ones? To put it in other words I need some good tutorial, advice or example, which I could use in my skin. And it's going to be just beautiful
