I haven't given up with LCARS..... it's just shelved for the moment!

I like the LCARS one so far, actually...  

They are both looking pretty good. Take the time to polish them off well. The Lcars one has so much potential. I started an Lcars skin awhile back. Its a challenge and a half. I'd be glad to help you when you run into some of the issues I ran into. It's very difficult to maintain the integrity of the Lcars but it can be done with some sweating.

Not to mention swearing!

The windowframes are gonna be a bitch (I've done more than I showed on the preview and am too unhappy with the result, to post the preveiw here) I think also the taskbar is gonna have to be redone.... don't think the start button's going to work with a vert. taskbar.

What prob u having with frames?

Just in making it look LCARS not recolored xp... no biggie! Havent gotten as far as the per pixel frames yet, so we'll see.

Actually I'm in the US right now and don't have my laptop with me, so I can't show you anything. I have the whole skin finished in my head... it's just a question of reproducing that in sks. Sometimes the results aren't what I expected, but on the other hand, sometimes something better comes out!

Starfleet is finished, but won't be uploaded until next week. Anyone want to test it?

Months go by and I still haven't given up on a LCARS WB. I may be taking this in a totally different direction.

New idea:

P.A.D.D.(Personal Access Display Device)

These are the things that all Starfleet personnel carry around with them. If I use a P.A.D.D as a template then I can incorporate a LCARS theme into it.

That looks really good. You do though have a tuff task in facing you, everyone will remember certain things and be looking for you to include them. Is there any link to the previous LCARS stuff done before or is yours meant to be a completely new stand alone theme?

The colors that you had in reply #17 did match some what the other LCARS stuff. I do have to say though I like reply #40's start panel a lot better. This has a lot of potential, going to have to watch this one as you develope it.
