Chameleon Brings Skins to the Mobile Phone

Look familiar?

So you've skinned your desktop, your laptop, bought the customized faceplates for your cell phone, you even have decals stuck to your PC case.  I bet you had some fancy work done to your car to make it stand-out more.  You're a customization junkie and you just can't get enough of it!

Unfortunately, that Windows Mobile device of yours, while it may be skinned on the outside, probably has that boring default look that Palm/HP/Dell/Acer etc. stick you with.  Oh, you may have one or two ugly options to pick from, but is that enough for you, the skinning enthusiast?  NO!

Well, we don't want to leave you out in the cold, in that scary world of no UI choice.  So, Stardock recently partnered up with the folks at Chameleon to deliver some of our more popular skinning content to Windows Mobile devices.

To start off, you can get the following skins for your Windows Mobile Device:

Is your favorite suite not listed?  Be patient, there are more to come.

Hehehe reminds me of my first phone skin- made it years ago for one of the first sony-ericssons (k700i or some such)...

Skinning phones is cool! Skinning baby seals is cooler though!

Hmm, I have skinned my phone with Wisbar Advanced + Desktop. Way more options and getting rid of that 2D look. Running Pauls Apogee there also. Is this superior in any way ?

well, i love the idea but i really wish there were individual skins instead of packages. if they break things down to individual skins with the prices in line with the price of a premium blind here, i'll buy for sure! love the idea, tho!

$20/4 skins = $5 per skin
The trick is to find one pack you like.

For Chameleon though, the chance of someone find two skins they REALLY want in two different packs = more sales.  Not a bad model if they think that their packs are put together "right".

I may have to go back and see if I see the pattern ing th packs (1 tech, 1 natural, one fun, etc)

Just changing colors and adding a wallpaper is considered skinning?
You can get better color schemes and wallpapers for free and if you really want to skin it look for wisbar advance (remember pocketblinds?)
Nice try tho.

I see wallpapers, Icons, color and pattern.  Sounds like skinning to me.    (And I remember the EARLY days of WB. there wasn't much there either.)
remember pocketblinds?
You mean this:

"We've recently begun working with another developer on  updating PocketBlinds for newer devices, which he should then be offering in the coming months. He's also the gentleman who's taken over the WisBar development, so it'll sort of be one-stop-shopping for PocketPC skinning. "

So, it would be a good idea to have Wisbar skins by Stardock design also. Those I would buy
