Back in the 80's my study group used to say "God said it, I believe it, That settles it!"
Over simplistic in the minds of the secular world that has trouble believing in anything other than the current fad or flavor of the month. The weak in Christ are like the weak in politics they follow the majority in order to be seen as cool.
But even people in politics will tell you that if you don’t believe in something you will believe in anything.
At one point the worlds leading scientist could state with great confidence that the world was flat. The bible said that the earth was round but you can clearly see that the Earth was flat by standing on any beach and off to the horizon you saw the edge of the Earth. You could see ships fall over the edge and never be seen or heard from again. It was a scientific fact! Then this guy Amerigo Vespucci and Christopher Columbus tried to prove that the Earth was round like an orange. They were laughed at. It flew in the face of established science and even the weak people in religion stated that the Earth was flat. As proof of this wild theory what do we have as a result? A two Continents called North and South Vespucci land, named after the discoverer. Ok some German map maker did not like the ring of that and changed it to America, easier to spell I guess. The point is that we learned after a thousand years that the bible was correct God did not lie the Earth is round not flat. Oops science was wrong, the weak in Christ were wrong.
Back in the 1700’s the French institute of science the greatest European thinkers of the time said we were wasting our time believing in a God of any kind. The reply from the people was you scientist people are crazy there is a God and he makes no mistakes, and never lies like you science people. The great thinkers sat and read the bible from cover to cover looking for any mistakes, or inaccurate facts. They seized upon the only quick and easy inaccuracy, Genesis 15:5 in part says, "And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be." Ok that was easy because in the book of numbers they did a census and there was an exact number of the Hebrews that left Egypt. The group of very smart scientist lay on the beach at sunset and counted every start as it rose from the sea. They continued until sunrise. 1449 starts were counted which is a far cry from the millions that left Egypt. This meant that the bible was wrong and if it is wrong then God told a lie and if God lied then he was not perfect and if God was not perfect then God was not really GOD! Science was god. The weak in Christ were silent and allowed this lunacy to grow while the foolish believers chanted that God would not lie to them. Oh, I almost forgot, they did not count the Sun as a star because it was a furnace burning coal that kept us warm and provided light. Fast forward to the 1970’s and we have this little group of people in America called NASA and when asked how many stars there are their official reply is there are about two to four hundred billion stars in our own galaxy and roughly the same in other galaxies and we have found so far over a million galaxies and we are still counting. So I guess God did not lie in that passage and we still have a lot of Hebrews to go to reach what God said would be a very large number.
The flood is another biblical fact that has been disproved by scientist many times. First science said there was not enough water to flood the entire earth. Then they said that the bible was only talking about a small localized area not the whole world. Then they said that ok there was a world wide flood but not like in the bible. Now you can’t find a wise well educated scientist that will deny the flood. Yet in every case the weak in Christ will go along so as not to appear dumb to the wise men of the time.
You want to prove God wrong, just let global warming take place. God said he would not flood the earth again. This would make him a liar and prove once and for all that there is no god. So when you hear the people of the religion of global warming talk of floods that will wipe us all out you are hearing people who are saying that God lied to us.
The greatest minds of the time said then and say today that Jesus was not the Christ and that he is yet to come. All the prophecies are in the bible relating to Christ the people stood there saying it could not be Jesus because he did not come as they wanted him. Look at the facts and the proofs of those facts. He was here he died arose and ascended with the promise that he would return. He never gave a date or a time that he would return but I know the exact minute and day of that return. This is proven by scripture and easy to look up. Christ told us when, where, and how. God said it; I believe it; that settles it. If you want to know when Jesus will return just look it up, it is mentioned twice in the New Testament. I will give you a hint, once by Jesus and once by John on the isle of Patmos. This is too easy!
