Couple More Download Questions

Once I download the game, is it later possible to just download a patch? Or do I have to download the full game each time it's updated?

What exactly is Heightmaps? Looks like different graphics to enhance performance. So does it look not very good? Is this a good module?

Unless you're playing on a different machine from that you're downloading it on, SDC will only download the changed files when you update.

The heightmaps are pregenerated planet terrains. They look just like the ones you see now, but they can save some memory and load time since the game won't have to generate them each time you play if you have them.
