Seems too lock my computer everytime

GC crashed on my notebook.
I went back into GC to see how much I lost,
Checked for saved games,
Pressed cancel,
Pressed exit to get out of the game.
Nothing happened the game locked up, I hit cntr atl delete went to the windows XP task manager found Galactic Civilizations was not responding, killed the program.
Tried again it did the same thing.
