Bush lied people died!

This theme has been around since we entered the war on terror. It made no sense to me how or why people think this is important. Then I remembered that Mr. Clinton lied in a court of law and to the American people in his sex scandal and was impeached for those lies. He lost his law license. There was proof that he lied and broke the law.
How stupid is it to equate a president who broke the law he has sworn to uphold with an attack on the United States and the presidents’ response to the attack? The information was not good for some of the justification to go to war in Iraq but not all of it. But was it a lie that led us to war? I think not. I was in the intelligence business for a short time and I understand that information comes in and it has to be sorted through it only takes one overworked clerk to miss one piece of information for us to get hit hard. We average 14,000 pieces of information a month. Most of that number is bad information or partial information that needs to me mated with other pieces before we can say this is valid or not. The information we have on the attacks on 9/11 in retrospect point directly to all the people involved and can even narrow it down to the targets. Now look at the information as it comes in. the players were listed and watched by the CIA for months. We knew something was in the works but not exactly what. The Philippine government captured the computer of an AQ member whose plan was to blow up airliners over the Pacific Ocean. A test run was done in the Philippines which gave the information credibility and urgency. How was the CIA to know that bin Laden changed the plans from blowing up planes over the ocean to slamming them into buildings inside the US? This information was captured during the Clinton Administration and our valiant members of the CIA worked hard to gather information so we could foil the plots against us, this continued right up to September 11 2001.
Within the US an FBI agent discovered that someone was interested in flying jets but was not interested in learning how to take off or land. The report went up the chain and was squashed. Because of a wall between the CIA & FBI in the mid 70’s to punish the CIA for the Watergate break in, we made it easy for the terrorist to attack us. It was not until 8PM of September 11 2001 did that wall come down by executive order. It was only then that the CIA could tell the FBI who was on their watch list and who they lost track of. The ones they lost track of were the people that did the dirty deeds on 9/11 if the wall was not there the CIA could have told the FBI who was missing and the FBI could have watched and picked up the bad guys before they could do that dreadful act.
Please don’t get me wrong I am not blaming he lazy idiots of the Congress that had no foresight when they created the wall. I don’t blame Mr. Carter who was dumb enough to allow the terrorist to think that we were weak enough to be attacked. I don’t blame Mr. Reagan who sent troops into nations around the world to hunt down and kill terrorist. I don’t blame Mr. Bush 41 who continued this undercover war when we should have made it public to some extent so we could alter our laws to better attack our new enemy that started in 1977. I don’t blame Mr. Clinton who cancelled that program and tried to ignore the war on terror even when we were attacked four or five times during his presidency. I don’t blame Mr. Bush 43 who when faced with the slow building war finally exploded on his watch did everything he could ensure we don’t have another attack of this kind again. The Congress from the 70’s to today did little but they are politicians and are only interested in the here and now rather than what is coming down the road ten years from now. Take all that information gathered in the last 30 years of this war on terror and sure anyone would know we were the target! But taken piece by piece over 30 years it is impossible to see that we are even in a war including the attacks on 9/11.
Mr. Bush did not lie to us we deluded ourselves into thinking that no rational person would do such an attack. The problem is that we are not dealing with rational people, not stupid but very irrational.
The deaths are on our heads! We are the reason people died on 9/11 and the reason our troops are getting killed today!
