'Represent minimized windows by their screenshots' bug

Doesn't work when 'Show Desktop' docklet is used

The 'Represent minimized windows by their screenshots' feature doesn't work correctly when the 'Show Desktop' docklet is used to minimize all running apps. It still makes their icons small and in the lower right corner of their space, but the space where the screenshot thumbnail should be is blank. Here's a screenshot -- Firefox and Thunderbird were minimized using the 'Show Desktop' docklet (which is the one all the way on the left, I gave it a new icon).

Show desktop doesn't minimize apps.  It puts up a full-screen, no title window with the desktop background.
It's stupid but true.
Your apps are there, windowed or maximized behind this "screen"

Stupid but true indeed... wow.

But somehow the dock knows that they were supposed to be minimized because their icons (in the 'open windows' section of the dock to the right) get small, they just don't get the screenshots? A limitation introduced by the fact that the windows are 'covered' by the desktop, or a logistical problem of capturing that many screenshots before they get covered maybe?
