IE7Pro (free) accomplishes the same thing for IE7 btw.

NT, I am one of the few that still uses IE6....I tried IE 7, and didn't like it...lol. And, since I still use XP, I am not forced to use IE7.

I went around to ALL our work locations a while back and updated/upgraded the browsers to I.E.7.

I wasn't popular for a couple of weeks because the staff were having difficulty figuring it out, or it was just a case of 'old habit's dying hard' ...

So I sent an email out, outlining all the functionality improvements, how to use it to better work performance [the find function in drop-down lists alone was worth the effort - a big time-saver], and explained that with tabbed browsing, there was no need to have dozens of different windows open & minimized.

We can now have all the various sites we use over the course of the day open in the one 'window' ~as tabs. There was also the added ability to enhance searching the internet by adding extra/custom search providers.

It took a little time for the staff to get used to, but overall, I'd say around 90-95% of them are now happy it was done. The other 5% will just have to live with it - we're not going back.

I still have FireFox on one of my machines at home, but I can't remember that last time I fired it up.

I got every version of IE since v3 installed on Virtual PC's for webdesign testing. Other than that I never touch the binary heap of junk. (Though IE7 is a great improvement.)

Thanks everyone. Looks like there are much more people still using it than I thought. Apparently, Throbbers are still on list of things needing to be skinned.

I use FF but I have IE 6 in case...

as for that annoying throbber, I use the ' ThrobOff ' program to get rid of it.

Its only really annoying when it's not skinned correctly.. anyway yea NT still plenty of folks on IE6 and will be for a while. I personally prefer it as it is far more customizable \ skinnable. Why change?

Anyhoo, IE7 has throbber on the tabs that is skinnable, in Vista at least.

Tabs my friend, tabs.

Even though tabs go unskinned on XP I still prefer it. There is nothing better than baby blue tabs with black.

I once despised Internet Explorer so I understand why people do not like it. What I don't understand is embracing Firefox as a replacement. I just find it slow, buggy and from time to time...slow. I guess because I don't use any add-ons, IE works for me.

I hate the throbber....I got rid of it with a teeny program called Throb Off (Fairyy~ told me about it a long time ago.) So, I don't skin it.
