So after chastising Mason for behaving badly IE: hitting a trucker that hit his truck and tried to escape, what did I do today?

Three guesses.

1.  I painted a picture that the grandmasters would be jealous of?

2.  I create cold fusion using sea water as a source?

3.  I put the smack down on someone at the supermarket?

Ok times up? what did you guess? If you guessed the top two you are a complete moron and get out of my blog! NOW!

I was in line and a younger man late 20's early 30's pushed me aside and said, "get outta my way ol man I'm in a rush" well I just saw this beautiful flash of red and griped him by the throat and politely said, wha? whodafuckyoutalkinto? at this point he was turning a lovely shade of purple when he tried to punch me, well at this point I lost what little reason I had left, Ippon nukite to the throat, and a seiken oy zuki to the temple, needless to say he folded like a used handkerchief. Security saw the event, so did patrons and the cashier, they arrested him to hold him for the police and I was told good job and sent home. Funny how that works when an 'old man' kicks a much younger mans ass huh?

ON further reflection I could have just stepped aside and am feeling rather foolish, this is no way for a 61 year old man to behave.

I understand what you're saying here. I guess it's how you look at it.

One way would be to humble yourself and let him go, let him push you around. Just maybe he'll feel bad later on about what he did and think about it some.

On the other hand, you held him accountable. You told him it wasn't ok to push older people around. You taught him he needs to respect people and pushing them around was not showing respect. He now will think (if he has any brains) long and hard before he does this again. In the meantime, he's gotta answer for what he did. He said he was in a hurry right? Well he got detained alot longer than if he just let you go first.

hahhahaha, just think...the first will be last and the last will be first.

Hopefully you just saved another older person from being pushed around by this punk. Hopefully he learned a valuable lesson that day.

On the other hand, he took the first swing. He was in the wrong and the agressor. you neutralized him. you did not "pound him into dust". That is the difference between being "an idiot", and stopping a miscreant from doing further harm. And perhaps making him see the error of his ways for future encounters with people.

I would congratulate my kids for standing up to a bully, so I congratulate you for the same, as you are getting older and becoming more like a child daily.
