A note of respect for the miners

That's it basically, coming from a traditional mining area, I just wanted to note my respect for the miners.

As I'm looking at the news from the United States at the moment, 3 rescue workers have died and six more injured. They were part of an ongoing rescue effort to locate and rescue/recover six trapped miners.

There is no doubt that these guys and their families are aware that this is an extremely perilous operation - and that there lives are at risk.

Mining is such a hard job.  My family has been praying for these miners and their families since the cave-in.

I have been praying for their families since hearing about it. I know firsthand the danger miners face on a daily basis. I worked in a mine for 4 1/2 yrs in my oh so much younger days. I've had friends trapped, injured and sadly loose their lives in that short time I was there. My heart and respect go out to them.
