Editing Minor Races

Hi folks.
If I wanted to edit the minor races to use Formis' pictures and movies, can it be done? And how might I go about doing it? I don't see anything in the GalCiv or DA directories that deal with custom races. Also, if it's possible to do this, does anyone know if the .bik movies would play automatically in place of the static pictures we get from the default minor races?

and found a lot of info on this. Looks complicated for someone like me who's not willing to invest more than 15 minutes of my Oblivion modding time on something else. Oh well, I'll just use Formis' races as majors and change them in the game, at the expense of the default races.
