I had one once that used ride the special short bus and licked the windows on the way to work. He was a real goober! Now I work for myself and I hate it when I'm smarter than myself!

That's nothing....I had a boss once who rode the very special short, short bus to work. Not only did he lick the windows, he used to sit up the back to play pocket billiards ....caught him once and he put me on double secret probation so I wouldn't tell anyone.

I guess I'm the exception. I've worked for a wonderful woman, on and off, for 35 years. She has been an inspiration to me. WE have learned so much about our profession and about life in that time. I'm not saying it's been all a bed of roses. She calls me: Chuckoff. You can guess why. Sometimes she drives me crazy and I do the same to her. Back in the day when I was one of her managers I'd tell her: "I'll do it but under protest!" Our business is one which computing has thinned out. We used to work with about 100 people. Now the same work is done with about 10 people. The bottom line is that my boss is demanding but only in the sense that she wants you to do your job. I've seen occasions where I knew that she did not personally like "Sam" but "Sam" did his job so he was ok. If someone didn't do their job or caused trouble or the worst thing, lied they had better kiss their asses goodbye. I have no problem with that. I guess I've been lucky to have had this Lady for a boss.

Just like me...one of those bosses whose missus tells 'em which pants they can wear....and when.

My boss is really awesome. If I want a day off...I just take it. If he gives me any lip I just tell him to shutup about it. Plus...I sleep with his wife and he even knows it!

I have the best boss in the world, been working for him for 6 years now, and will most likely be still working for him till I turn up my toes

I'd have to say that he'd be the most supportive and approachable boss I have EVER worked for, no lie.

Had a boss when I was 16 (a contract driver for Wridgways Removals) who wouldn't stop the truck so I could urgently relieve myself....'twas almost too late when he eventually stopped....then promptly drove off and left me in the middle of nowhere, 200 miles out of Sydney in the middle of the night on a rather quiet and lonely road.

I was to have the last laugh, however. As luck would have it another truck driver came along and gave me a ride to the Wridgeways depot door, a couple of hours ahead of the mongrel who left me stranded. To cut a longer story short, management was not at all impressed with his actions and terminated his contract....his truck eventually got repossessed because he couldn't make the repayments.

To add further insult to his injury, his wife rang me a few days later to confirm he was having...ahem, er, relations with one of the office girls at the depot.....she divorced him. Last I heard of him he was a raging waste of space alcoholic with absolutely no future/prospects.

What goes around comes around, eh!
