how to enable transparent window borders?

First, I am not sure how well the transform pack and WindowBlinds will play together,
Second, you don't enable trans borders, the skins are either made with it or not. Look for and download skins that have trans borders.

On window blinds, click on 'VIEW MY SYSTEM INFORMATION' and down the bottom you should see a checksquare that says 'Never use per pixel borders on a skin" make sure this is unchecked, to enable per pixel frames (transparent frames)

No kitty, could be in playing with WB that nece228 may have checked it and now has no per pixel frames. It should be unchecked by default but any helpful info is good info.

i have installed Vistaiyn theme and this theme is with transparent borders, but it not look like real vista theme. i want real vista theme for window blinds. it must be eith start orb, etc. can someone reccomend me what wb theme is look like vista windows? and where can i get it?

when i want turn on aero style, it shows vista basic style borders and start button.

Where did you get WindowBlinds from, it has a mix of dates, some from latest version which for XP is WindowBlinds 5 (5.51 (build 97 x86)).



This one I can't even find in the WindowBlinds history in Stardock central but would fall somewhere around 5.0.

i installed MiLorkVistaTheme and it works good, but when i installed this theme i dont have transparently borders. in screenshot there be a transparent borders, but not for me.

Sounds like you have the trial version not enhanced/registered as your thread implied


If the trial trans borders only work with included skins that have them, downloaded skins will not have trans even if in skin. It is one of the limitations of the trial version.

the dates do show a mix of both, if you have purchased version and had trial first, did you uninstall the trial before installing enhanced version, this is a must do.
