help please

I need a little help understanding 'my empire' and I can't find a help link ,so please help. how do I set up an empire and what do I do with it?

Once you've created an empire on the metaverse, you can invite other players to join. Your posted metaverse scores are then all added up to get your empire score, and compared against those of other empires. It's basically just a means for like-minded players (most empires have a theme of some sort) to join together and compete with other groups. The larger empires also sometimes have their own websites with forums where they may discuss strategies and such.
