WB5 activation through ODNT failes

... and it makes me crazy !!!

Here's a (partiel copy) of an email i just had to send to [email protected]:

"Hi,

What kind of joke is it ?
I'm ODNT subscribers since years ... i had to reformat my PC and reinstall all software then Stardock Central wich let me install any app and activate them with no problem but for WB5 activation fails and i get the message:

"There was an error activating WindowBlinds 5 Error:6
Excessive activations (#) - Multiple activation requests for this product have arrived and had been processed. This has triggered the threshold for potential errors.
If you are having problems activating count, please email this log file to [email protected] from the email you ordered under."

Of course i have trouble to activate, if i get this error message !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm very irritated by such a thing ... Just imagine if all software to reinstall do the same ??

I hope this silly trouble will be resolute immediadiatly, i don't want to wait till Monday (or later ...) and won't come again ...

As mentionned in the mail, i hope at leasr some admin from Wincustomize will read this and do what to do to solve this problem before monday (or later   )

Nope, needs to be reset at/by Stardock.

... and above all, i'd like to understand why other Stardock Software (ObjectDock +, CursorXP Plus and so on) did not bring such a silly message ... i didn't activated more WB5 than other stardock products    ...

I don't know this for sure, but at a guess WindowBlinds is pirated/bought with a stolen card more frequently than other applications, so the activation count limit is lower to limit the number of people who can benefit from the stolen account details.

I thought WB through ODNT was another version than the shareware version...
It has to be validate each time when uninstalling/reinstalling + for each beta update when installing ... though i can't stand there's a number validation limit with ODNT.

Do you mean my ODNT serial number had been pirated ? If so, why other programs activated through it don't bring same activation error ?? ODNT is bought for a full year, and in my case, since years and years ... It's a shame it's linked to a maximum number of activation as it's in an opposite way of the principe of ODNT ...

Now, with the fact that because we're on week-end it seem i've to wait until someone from the support team will be there, it's also a shame ... Just imagine if you can't activate your Windows OS(or other software)because it's the week-end ??? Stardock has to build a solution at least for the activation troubles 24/24 7 days, and especially for ODNT subscrivers.
I absolutly need to install WB NOW, because i've to re-install a lot of other software AFTER because i wan't to see, if WB is not precisely at the origine of some troubles i got on my PC, and i've to do it this week-end... Yep, time is money and i've to do other things in week open days ...

BTW, if this trouble is not solved today (even a sunday) i will seriously think to just give up Stardock products. It's really really (really) geting on my nerves and make me crazy

It's here Sunday 22.50 PM though about 30 hours after having posted the trouble and reasons why i needed an immediat correction.

As my time is also money, Stardock has for now to pay me about 1800 € ...

Neophil here it's this time but you forgot that on SD it's 5hpm on Sunday in summer Holiday you should wait a little like tomorrow it's monday more people should help you to find a solution

No, no, i don't forget, but i'm not on holliday, i work tomorrow and that is to say i'll have (in best case) to spend each evening to reinstall what i would have been able to do this week-end ... I don't care, ODNT is supposed to be working 24/24, 365/365

Hello neophil78,

You were unable to activate WindowBlinds because you had reached one of the thresholds for the maximum number of times you are allowed to activate WindowBlinds in a given time period. This threshold exists in an effort to help prevent piracy.  The threshold is generally high enough where it doesn't effect the normal user during installs.  However, and unfortunately, you had managed to exceed this threshold.  I have reset your activation limit so you should now be able to successfully activate WindowBlinds.
